President Trump sent a missile strike against Syria for their continued use of using chemical weapons on their own people. However, according to the mainstream media, Trump doesn’t really care about the safety of the world, he actually just wants to distract the public from James Comey’s new book.

“It is true Trump may have ordered strikes against Syria to distract attention from Comey book & Cohen investigation. It is true Assad is committing genocide. The international community cannot, must not allow him to kill Syrians ppl w/impunity. The two, are not mutually exclusive,” tweeted CNN commentator Ana Navarro.

She wasn’t the only one. “I think it’s very notable that these strikes were announced on the same day that everyone was expecting the president to fire Bob Mueller and the same day that James Comey launched his book tour and in the same week that Paul Ryan announced his retirement,” said MSNBC guest Sarah Badawi.

“It’s awfully convenient that the president now has a way to say he is victorious on these missile strikes, that he didn’t seek approval from Congress to launch and, arguably, shouldn’t have done in the first place,” said Badawi.

MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow joined in as well. “It will therefore affect the utility of this military strike if the president of the United States is believed to have issued the order to launch this strike tonight, even in part because people think he wanted to distract from a catastrophic domestic scandal that is blowing up at home at the same time. The perception that the president may have ordered these strikes in part because of scandal will affect the impact and the effectiveness of these military strikes. Unavoidably,” said Maddow.
