Lars Maischak, a college professor and liberal extremist has said some disturbing and threatening things towards President Trump. He is finally getting what he has coming to him. “To save American democracy, Trump must hang. The sooner and the higher, the better. #TheResistance #DeathToFascism,” tweeted Maischak.
“Has anyone started soliciting money and design drafts for a monument honoring the Trump assassin, yet?” he wrote in another. As a result to his horrible tweets going viral, he being forced into a leave of absence.
“The agreement for the paid leave was reached in accordance with provisions in the collective bargaining agreement with the California Faculty Association, the union that represents all faculty. During his leave of absence, Dr. Maischak will no longer have a teaching role, but will be conducting research off campus,” said Joseph Castro, Fresno State’s president.
You might be thinking that this isn’t enough of a punishment for him. He has left town and claimed that he does not feel safe. He also begged for forgiveness. “I ask forgiveness of those who felt threatened or offended by them. It was never my intent to harm anyone, nor to encourage others to harm anyone,” he wrote.
If his tweets weren’t intended to be threats, than he really doesn’t understand how words work. Which is strange for a college professor.
