Former late night talk show host David Letterman was a vocal supporter of Democrats like Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton while he was one of the kings of late night, so it was an exciting event for liberals when Letterman emerged from his long media hiatus and debuted his new Netflix talk show.
Unsurprisingly, Letterman chose Obama as his very first guest on his new show, and Obama clearly did not disappoint when it came to be smug and condescending toward regular Americans, particularly those savvy enough to think for themselves and watch Fox News.
On NBC’s Today show, the hosts of course lavished praise on Letterman and Obama for their conversation. Willie Geist, for example, gushed about how Barack “opened up about his transition from president back to private citizen.” He added that “the hour-long interview offers a rare glimpse into President Obama’s personal life, but he does talk politics.”
Spouting more left-wing propaganda, Willie added, “He didn’t specifically mention his successor, President Trump. Instead, the former commander-in-chief saying he believes social media and personalized news sources have caused divisiveness among Americans.” The Today show then played an audio clip from the interview where Obama said, “If you watch Fox News, you are living on a different planet than you are if you, you know, listen to NPR.” Of course, the audience for the show all cheered for Obama’s deeply patronizing and divisive.
Geist ended things by saying that Obama had just one regret, saying, “President Obama also reflecting on his time in office, telling Letterman he wishes he would have acted less presidential and more relatable.” Are you disgusted that Obama thinks conservatives “are living on a different planet”?
