CNN’s Jim Acosta has been known to be a drama queen, trying to make the White House press briefings into a show so he can go viral. However, he failed miserably and became a laughing stock when Sarah Sanders hit him with an insult so brutal the entire room gasped.
Sanders was taking questions about DACA and the immigration bill. Instead Acosta decided to try to continue the narrative played out in the discredited anti-Trump book ‘Fire and Fury.’
“The president watches something on “Fox & Friends” and then tweets about it… There have been folks out there who have said there’s a cause and effect. He watches something on “Fox & Friends” and then tweets about it. Did that happen this morning and does that go on?” asked Acosta.
“I’m sure you’re disappointed he’s not watching CNN,” responded Sanders. This was apparently a big insult to him. Acosta claimed that the President watches “a lot of CNN.” Then came the zinger.
“I don’t think that’s true. Your numbers would be higher,” responded Sanders. The entire room gasped and you could here an audible “Ooooh.” “They’re actually better than they’ve been in a long time,” Acosta responded. However, when you look at the facts, CNN is doing much worse than it’s competitors. Check out the video below.
